A plain-language breakdown of the quiz types you will meet in the Virtual University LMS and which ones actually affect your grade.
The Virtual University LMS lists several kinds of quizzes side by side in the same table, which makes it easy to treat them all as equally urgent — or equally skippable. They are neither.
Graded quizzes
These carry marks toward your final result and are the ones worth setting an alarm for. They are usually open for a fixed window of two to three days and typically carry around ten marks each.
Lab attendance quizzes
Attached to practical courses, these confirm you attended or engaged with a lab session. They are lower-weight individually but there are many of them across a semester, so the cumulative loss from ignoring them is significant.
Practice quizzes
Ungraded and usually open indefinitely. Useful preparation, no deadline pressure. If you are triaging your week, these come last.
Reading the status column
- Pending — open and not yet attempted. Act on these first.
- Submitted — your attempt is recorded, result not yet published.
- Result Declared — marked and final.
- Closed — the window has passed. Nothing to do.
